iptables-restoreのコードリーディング

はじめに

iptables-restore のコードリーディングをしてみました。 対象バージョンは CentOS 7 のパッケージに合わせて 1.4.21 です。

2438行目のif文を見ると引数の countersNULL の場合は2443行目で c->counter_map.maptypeCOUNTER_MAP_NOMAP にセットされます。 ですが iptables_restore_main 関数の356〜380行目を見ると -c オプションを指定するしないに関わらず、 set_policycountersNULL でない値を渡していますので、 2441行目で c->counter_map.maptypeCOUNTER_MAP_SET にセットされます。

ということで iptc_set_policy 関数の2443行目で c->counter_map.maptypeCOUNTER_MAP_NOMAP にセットされたとしても、 counters_nomap 関数で counters{0, 0} にセットされることになります。

まとめ

iptables-restore:INPUT ACCEPT [191890:367927864] のような行を入力しても -c オプションを指定しない場合はカウンタは0にリセットされます。
